Video gaming is one of today’s most popular forms of entertainment and a source of enjoyment for children and parents alike. But with today’s incredibly steep prices for new and used video games consoles, many families have been priced out of the market. Often, what ends up costing more are the video game accessories and games themselves, whenyou take into account the number of games and accessories that the average family purchases in a given year. There are people who have developed what’s called a ‘Mod-Chip’, which is a small electronic device that is used to hack a system, allowing the video gamer to use copied games instead of a new one.

The problem with mod-chips is that they’re illegal in most countries, and for most law abiding citizens, isn’t something worth doing. The legality of modifying a game system can be of less importance from the perspective of the users. But modification can also depend on the company’s system you are currently using. So, it is very difficult tohave a modded system without taking more than one step that are considered illegal by some companies.

The part being considered illegal are those things associated with making the chips, selling the chips, compiling software, programming software, or copyinggames in illegal ways. It is a fact that most companies take their stand of saying that they owned the internal parts of your game systems. Meaning, you don’t have the right to open the system oralter it to run as an open-source. It is very important that the users should be aware of their modifying activities since most courts are concurring on the parent company’s side.

For those who cannot afford to buy new or used game systems, the best solution is renting used video game systems. It can be more fun if you own your video game systems but as been said, it is very expensive. This would cause you problems especially if you don’t have the time in playing the games. Take note, some games have also a definite time allocation for playing. In this case, renting video game system is more advisable to minimize your game entertainment’s costs. This would also prevent you from modifying the games since you have just rented it.

No matter how inexpensive and exciting video games are today, it will cost you a lot of money to own one. Even if you have bought your home game system, you need to purchase the actual games that’ll be played on the system. Remember, one game can cost as high as 60-70 dollars or more. By renting used video game systems, you can curb the costs. You can also keep it for several days. Take note of the massive difference, if you buy the game, you’ll spend aBig sum of money on it and later on just waste it if you won’t be using it. But if you just rent it, then it will save you some money.

There is another important reason why renting is more preferred. You have an option to test the game that you would like to purchase. Being the user, you’re given theopportunity to play the game for several times before the actual purchase. In this way, you could make the right decision whether to buy the game that you would like orcompletelydisregard the idea. If you already purchased it without testing it, then it would be a total loss on your invested money compared to the money you have spent for renting the game.

It is a fact that different games have distinct endings. Some people who are more adventurous will basically disregard the games that will bore them with just a couple of hours of playing it. They find it useless especially when they easily figure out how to win. So, renting used video game systems will help you save a lot of money.

It does not matter a lot for video game enthusiasts if they buy their own game systems plus the games. But try to considerthe advantages of renting used video game systems before finally deciding to purchase.

Using ModChips is just not an option for most people, and because it is illegal in most countries, not worth it. Renting a used video game console and or the games is a great way to save money while enjoying your video games.

When I speak about bad video games, I’m not speaking about ‘Bad’ as in ‘Good’, nor am I talking about games that have bad things in it, but may be very well designed and playable. No, I’m speaking about good ole fashion ‘Bad’ as in ‘Sucks’, ‘Crap’. Why talk about bad video games, you ask? or for that matter, what is the point of speaking at all about crappy video games, why not just ignore them and hope they go away?

Bad video games have and will always exist, for a number of reasons. First, there is no such thing as a common principle or idealistic concept that everyone can agree on, and that basically means that what is a poor video game to one person may be another person’s ideal and favorite thing, ever. That said, there are some basic principles that we can use to assess the strengths and weaknesses of video games.

But first, has this ever happened to you. You’re walking down the isle of a large box store and find yourself sucked into the video game and technology section of the store. Like a deer in the headlights, there is nothing worse than being in the wrong place under the wrong circumstances. Meaning, that if you’ve meandered over to the video game section with the intent of purchasing a well researched game, then you are in fact a true video gamer. On the other hand, if you’re like the other %90 of the population, you’ve probably drifted into the video game section for a number of reasons. Perhaps you’re purchasing a video game for your kids or yourself, or perhaps you have just got started into the crazy world of gaming and are looking for a game that you can sink your teeth into. If you’re the latter, the first thing that you need to know is that your are literally a walking dollar sign, ready and primed. Video game marketers have designed clever, and misleading packaging with you in mind. Their hope is that you’ll see how great their packaging looks, that you won’t probe deep enough into the actual contents of the game. As a proverbial ‘fish’, you buy that game based solely on the smartly designed packaging only to find out, when you get home, that you have been duped. That’s right, all that glitzy, flashy, snazzy packaging is nothing more than a mirage, hiding the sand that you thought was nourishing water. Don’t worry, everyone get’s duped, one time or another.

There is only one way to get back at those video game company’s that hide poor video game programming behind flashy packaging and that’s to take your video game back to the shop and demand a refund. You need to have your voice heard, for your sake and the sake of others who come after you, and moneyTalks more than words. Once a massive box store clues in to the fact that as a customer you’re both angry, and willing to take your business elsewhere, they will listen, especially if enough of us fight back.

Does that mean that bad video games will disappear? The answer is an absolute ‘NO’, but that doesn’t mean that you are fighting a losing battle, only that you will make it harder for shady video game company’s to dupe you and other’s who were too trusting in the package.
